World Renowned Poker Champions Take Center Stage At Monte Carlo Millions. The Hendon Mob Issues Challenge to US Players in Transatlantic Poker Cup.(Monte-Carlo, Monaco) - Matt Savage, tournament director of Monte Carlo Millions and the World Series of Poker (WSOP), announced today that the final seats for Monte Carlo Millions, the world's most exclusive poker tournament, are already reserved by the top international poker players. Monte Carlo Millions, limited to 80 professional and amateur players is being held at the world-famous Sporting d'Hiver in Monte-Carlo, Monaco from November 6-13, and will be internationally broadcast as a television series around the world. The tournament marks the first professional poker tournament in the Principality of Monaco.
The field of players collectively boasts twenty-seven WSOP gold bracelet holders, seven World Poker Tour Championship titles, and nearly 20% of the 2004 Top 100 Money List which determines the biggest winners of the year. The list of attendees competing for the estimated $1 million prize pool include: Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot, The Hendon Mob, Phil 'Unabomber' Laak, Tony 'The Lizard' Bloom, Chris Ferguson, Scotty Nguyen, Layne Flack, Mel Judah, Antonio Esfandiari and Paul Phillips.
Playing alongside the professionals is French singing and acting sensation Patrick Bruel, who happens to be one of Europe's most accomplished poker players. Bruel joined the ranks of World Champions with his 1998 win at the World Series of Poker's Limit Hold 'Em event. A second place finish at the 2004 Five Star World Poker Classic, earning him close to $100,000, cemented his position on the global poker scene.
In addition to the professional and celebrity players, roughly ten percent of the field at the Monte Carlo Millions won their seats online at satellite tournaments through Prima Poker Network card rooms. Online poker offers players the opportunity to learn, play and win fantastic prizes, including the chance to play poker idols in the fairytale setting of Monte-Carlo.
To top off the weeklong poker extravaganza, Matt Savage and his fiancé, who met and fell in love at the 2002 World Series of Poker, will exchange wedding vows in beautiful Monte-Carlo, to go "all-in" on the bet of a lifetime.

Prima Poker announced today another must-see event being held during the Monte Carlo Millions - The Transatlantic Poker Cup. For the first time in history, four of the top poker players from Europe and the U.S. will square off in a no-limit Texas Hold'em battle to settle once and for all, which side of the pond plays the best hand of poker. The world-famous Hendon Mob, comprised of Barny Boatman, Ram Vaswani, Joe Beevers and Ross Boatman will represent the UK and will face down four of the best U.S. players in poker history: Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Andy Bloch. The Transatlantic Poker Cup will be televised at a future date.
