Iron Man Challenge At Full Tilt Poker In January - Your Chance To Win Up To $100,000 First Prize.

iron man status Full Tilt Poker's Iron Man Challenge has enjoyed phenomenal success over the last several months, with thousands of players competing for their chance to be FTP's next Iron Man.

To leverage the success of this promotion, Full Tilt Poker is launching a new challenge for 2007. This year, players will compete to reach one of four Iron Man levels each month; Bronze, Silver, Gold and Iron. Players who qualify (see status table) will receive unique Iron Man Medals, based on their performance.

Over time, these players can receive more medals by equaling or bettering their results from month to month. These medals do more than keep score though - they can also be redeemed for prizes like electronics, cash bonuses, tournament entries, and even private online poker tables from Full Tilt Poker's exclusive Iron Man Challenge Store.

Of course, players who want to take the ultimate challenge can also compete for the chance to face three of Full Tilt Poker pros in a series of heads-up matches where they can walk away with up to $100,000 in additional prize money.

Qualifying for Full Tilt Poker's Iron Man Challenge begins January 1st at 00:00 ET and runs until Janury 31st at 23:59 ET.

Play More to Win More
In future months, you can earn additional medals in two ways:
- Maintain your current Iron Man Challenge level for consecutive months
- Move from one level to a higher one in consecutive months.

The chart below shows the number of medals you can receive each month.

Iron Man Medals by Month

Note: if, for some reason, you fail to qualify for any of FTP's Iron Man Freerolls in a particular month, your status will be reset and you will begin earning medals at Month 1 levels when you re-qualify. As a reward for the Iron Man Challenge players, Full Tilt Poker is offering two different bonus options that can earn you over $100,000 in additional prize money or extra Iron Man Challenge medals.

Option A: Bonus Freerolls
For some players, becoming a Full Tilt Poker Iron Man is about more than medals. FTP offers you the chance to put your metal to the test in one of FTP's four monthly Freeroll tournaments. Compete for the first-place prize money and the chance to face the other 3 Freeroll champions in a 4-player shootout tournament where the winner will walk away with an additional $5,000.

Iron Man Freerolls Schedule

The winner of the Sit & Go tournament will go on to play three of the red Full Tilt Poker pros in consecutive heads-up matches. Beat one pro, and get $5,000 on top of your previous winnings. Beat two pros, and you will be given $10,000. If you are a Bronze, Silver or Gold Freeroll winner and beat all three, you'll receive $50,000. But, if you are the winner of the Iron Man Freeroll and scoop all three matches, Full Tilt Poker will give you an extra $50,000 for a total of $100,000!

Option B: Bonus Medals
If you'd prefer not to play in one of these monthly Freerolls, you can exchange your tournament entry for additional Iron Man medals. If, for example, you qualify for the Gold Freeroll in your fifth month, you can exchange your tournament entry for 70 Iron Man medals. You may decide whether you would like to opt in or out of a tournament at any time before the monthly qualifying period ends. Start playing today and see if you have what it takes to become a Full Tilt Poker Iron Man.
